Hi I'm Mike

I love my family, I love to be outdoors on a sunny day. I love to visit the temple.

About Me

I am a 49 year old husband and father of 2 teenagers. I like to hike and spend time outdoors. I was recently attending a local college where I earned a welding certification. I am in construction, work is very slow, I weld for fun. My wife would like me to weld for money

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized a "Mormon" when I was 10. My parents moved away and I didn't attend church again till I was in my 40's. My Catholic wife and I searched for a church till we decided to hear what the Missionaries had to say. After much prayer, fasting, scripture study and the like we are now and have been members , including our 2 teenagers for the past 10 years. I know this is Christ's church restored again to the earth.

How I live my faith

Life is not easy but with faith in Jesus Christ and in his Atoning Sacrafice, with the support of other members and the guidance of the Scriptures and the Living Prophets it is possible to make our way back to our Father in Heaven. I know Jesus came to this earth, established his gospel with prophets and apostles. He died for my sins. I know Heavenly Father wants us to find happiness in this life and return to live with him for eternity. I know God still speaks to his chosen servants, the prophets. I am grateful for my Savior... I am glad I decided to hear the missionaries out.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Mike
We do not worship Joseph Smith any more than we worship Adam, Moses, Noah, Abraham and the like. He was however a Prophet. Just as all the prophets before him. Show more Show less

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Mike
Mormon's love the Bible. The Bible is the word of God. Many tried to keep the Bible from the hands of the common man but there were those who believed that it belonged to everyone. Many gave their lives for this cause. One such man, William Tyndale said to a clergy member who was set on keeping the Scriptures from commoners hands "if God spares my life, ere many years, I will cause the boy that driveth the plow to know more of the Scriptures than thou dost!" And so it was. The Bible is not the only written record of Gods words.  Show more Show less
