Hi I'm Michael

I am a father of two. I am a husband, father, leader, Priesthood holder, and a systems engineer. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My first and foremost responsibility is being a husband and father. I have one child and one on the way. I am a Systems Engineer at a company in Las Vegas. I have lived the gospel my entire life and I know it is true. I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

Originally it is because my parent's were. But as I grew older and I was challenged to find out if I believed it was true for myself I took on that challenge and found out for myself that it is true. I know without a shadow of a doubt that it is true.

How I live my faith

It is a part of me. I try to always represent who I am and supposed to be. I am an adult leader in the Church. I have worked with the youth in the Boy Scouts of America as a scoutmaster. At work I strive to uphold my priesthood responsibility and live my beliefs. I always strive to read my scriptures and keep myself immersed in good music and uplifting conversations. This helps me remember who I am and where I came from and my reason for being here. With my family I strive to always be a loving and supporting husband and father. Treat my wife with the love and respect that she deserves. She is a strength to me and I am grateful she is my eternal companion.

Are Mormons Christians?

I had to answer this question several times while serving a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Being a christian means that you believe and follow our Savior Jesus Christ. Not only is Jesus Christ's name in the name of the church, but also upon review and study of the Bible, we follow the Savior's teaching more so than any other church I have come in contact with. Christ is the focus and Keystone of our religion and we are taught to make him the focus and Keystone of our lives. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

Recently we went to "Hidden Forest" just north of Las Vegas. As we hiked through the rocks and came to the forest part of the hike we had the opportunity to spend some time alone on top of one of the mountains. As I looked around I knew in my heart that there was a God and that he created everything in my sight for me. He planned the stars to explode hundreds of years before so that on those nights in the mountains I would be able to see them. He planned the trees to fall far enough in advance so that we would have firewood to keep ourselves warm. He created everything on this earth. He created us and loves us. Show more Show less
