Hi I'm Jacob Robles.

I live in Arizona and I am studying to become an electrician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I will be married to my wife, Natalie, for two years in August. I am currently working on becoming an Industrial Electrician. A year from now I hope to be certified and working in the field. I really enjoy camping and fishing. Other hobbies include basketball, welding, landscaping, reading gospel related materials, and spending time with my wife.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I have been taught throughout my life the gospel of Jesus Christ by my parents. My parents have always been good to me and have taught me to make my own decisions on life. The biggest decision I ever had to make was whether or not The Book of Mormon was true. I soon found out that it was not my decision to make, but God's. There is a promise in The Book of Mormon that told me I could ask God in prayer if it was true. If I had a sincere heart, real intent, and faith in Christ I would get an answer by the power of the Holy Ghost that it was truly the word of God. By the age of 18 the answer came to me. On my knees in prayer after reading The Book of Mormon I asked, "Heavenly Father, please tell me whether or not this book is true, and if it is true, I will go on a mission." Throughout the year before this happened I was trying to get an answer from God but I never did get anything. I always had a sincere heart and faith in Christ but it was the real intent I was missing. And so at this moment the Spirit testified to me that it was true and the answer was so strong and real that the tears flowed and I now had a solid testimony of my own that the Book of Mormon is God's word. At 19 I served my mission in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It was two of the greatest years in my life. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the best thing for me and my future family. It is God's kingdom established on the earth and He has called a prophet to be His mouthpiece. I feel it in my heart and in my whole being that this is the true church of God upon the earth.

How I live my faith

Recently we moved to a new ward and were called to teach the five and six year old children in primary together. When teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ we both feel the love He has for these little children. The light of Christ is truly in them. Natalie is such a great visiting teacher who inspires me to do better as a home teacher. Reaching out to those who are members of the church through home or visiting teaching is a great way to make new lasting friendships and to help those in need. Through giving service to others, whether members or not, in these ways and many more is one of the best ways to strengthen your faith and the faith of those that you've served. My faith, testimony, and love of the Savior and Heavenly Father always grow the most when I help others on their way. True happiness and joy come from giving service to God.
