Hi I'm Christopher.

I love rockets and exploring outer space. I'm a dad to four amazing children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After 5 years of launching satellites into space from a ship at the equator, I went to business school so I could run my own space business someday. Every day finds me closer to my dream. My three kids are a wonderful handful, and number four is on the way. Finding ways to make family time "me time" is my key to keeping balance in life. I try to be more like Jesus Christ every day. I'm far from perfect, but heading in the right direction. Service to others helps me be grateful for the blessings in my life. I couldn't do any of this without my supportive wife, she was made for me.

Why I am a Mormon

At first, I was a Mormon because my parents were Mormon. It was easy to go to Church because they took me there. Then, it became hard. As I grew older, I realized that being a Mormon meant sacrificing some things I thought I wanted in my life. It wasn't enough that my parents believed, I had to find out for myself if the Church was true. I decided that if the Church is true, it is worth any sacrifice to be a part of it. If the Church isn't true, I want no part of it. After studying the doctrine of the Church, praying for guidance and living the principles of the Gospel, I can say that I know the Church is true: Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer; the Power of God is on the Earth and we are led by a true Prophet of God; Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ; the Bible and the Book of Mormon testify of Jesus Christ, and teach us His Gospel; I can return to live with God and my family if I will keep His commandments. These truths have been confirmed to me repeatedly as the Holy Ghost has whispered to my spirit throughout my life. My relationships at home, at work, and in Church are more fulfilling when I am living in harmony with the Gospel. Hardships in life are easier to deal with when I am close to the Lord. I am happy when I am obedient to the commandments of God. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I think that many people see religion as something that occupies a part of their life. For me, my faith permeates every part of my life. My work, my education, my family life, my recreation and my worship all contribute to, and are benefited by my faith. It would seem strange to me to have some part of your life where faith and God wouldn't be a natural fit. I want what I am doing on Saturday night to reflect who I am on Sunday morning. I rely on God to strengthen my character, and I look to him for support in all aspects of my life. When I am mindful of Him, and try my best to be like Him, I find the greatest happiness, success and satisfaction in my life.
