Hi I'm Shaun

I'm a follower of Christ, and a member of his restored church.

About Me

I just recently became a grandfather! I love to read, study the gospel and be involved in my community.

Why I am a Mormon

Christ said that we would know the will of our Father if we followed his Son. As I've tried my best to follow Christ and keep his commandments, I have learned for myself what is true and thus of God. It is after the trial of our faith that we know. The Holy Ghost has testified to me, so I know from a source beyond my own limited understanding.

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving as the secretary to our bishop the leader of our local congregation. I'm very impressed with the organization of the Church and how it helps us as members server others. I have felt inspiration to do something I would have never considered myself, and when I have acted, people's lives were blessed.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Shaun
A testimony is a sure knowledge of truth, confirmed by the feelings of the Holy Spirit. This knowledge is based on a personal communication to our spirits from our Heavenly Father, through the Holy Ghost. It does not depend on the actions or ideas of man for confirmation, but by our actions and words we can share some of that light and knowledge with others so they can seek their own confirmation from God.
