Hi I'm Noah

I'm a college student in Utah. Got back from serving a mission in South Korea in the summer of 2009.

About Me

I love music and play the guitar, piano, and sing. I study international relations and I would spend all my time traveling and meeting people of other cultures if I could. I'm the oldest child in a family of six kids. I've been a member of the church my whole life. I love doing anything outdoors - hiking, running, swimming to name a few.

Why I am a Mormon

There's nothing that has helped my family grow closer or given me a better perspective on the purpose of life than the doctrines of this church

How I live my faith

I'm far from perfect, but I'm trying to live a more Christlike life. I try to start my days with meaningful prayer and scripture study and end them with a reflection on how God blessed me that day. I'm trying to get a good education and prepare myself to be a worthy and spiritual husband and father someday. I try to spend some time each week with the ward mission leader, visiting families and sharing the gospel, and also serving and spending time with some refugees who live near my home.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

After reading in Romans in the New Testament, I've thought a lot about grace and what it means. To me, grace is the power of Christ that enables us to rise higher than we can on our own. It gives us spiritual strength in our everyday lives, and will give salvation from sin to the faithful after we die. Some people say that we are saved by grace simply by saying that we believe in Christ, but a closer study of what the Savior taught tells us that we must be faithful and obedient to the Lord's commandments in order to be saved by grace. Even though faithfulness and obedience is required on our part, we can never reach the level of righteousness we need to without the help of our Savior, Jesus Christ. His grace makes up for what we just can't do on our own. But a true disciple of Christ will always try their best and be full of righteous works and obedience as well. Show more Show less
