Hi I'm Jarom

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Safford, a small town in south eastern Arizona. My dad started working in Mexico so we moved to Yuma, Arizona my freshmen year of high school. I served a 2 year mission in Atlanta, Georgia. I studied film at the University of Arizona and BYU. I am currently living in Los Angeles and attempting to break into Hollywood as a screenwriter. I have five completed screenplays. One of them is the sequel to E.T. In order to get Steven Spielberg's attention I held a rally at Universal Studios complete with red hoodies, BMX bikes with baskets, and signs. It didn't work but it was pretty fun! When I'm not writing or marching on Universal I enjoy water sking, scuba diving, swimming in anything with water in it, country music, and summer blockbusters.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives me the answers I am looking for when it comes to what I should be doing in life and what it all means. I know where I am going and what I need to do to get there. There is no question or doubt in my mind. Being a Mormon gives me that certainty. I think the number one thing that every human wants and is seeking after is happiness. Being a Mormon truly makes me happy!

How I live my faith

The LDS church sponsors the Boy Scouts of America and I serve as the Advancement Chairman of our local unit- Troop 144. I maintain the records and keep the Los Angeles Area Council office updated. I attend scout meetings on Tuesday nights where I help with Board of Reviews, Eagle Projects, and earning merit badges. I also go on campouts when needed. The youth are our future and BSA does great in teaching, training, and molding the boys into better men, husbands, and fathers. I also serve as a ward missionary where I help the full time missionaries assigned to my ward with teaching and fellowshipping. I also help and support the members of the ward in their missionary efforts.
