Hi I'm Ryan Clark

I'm a dentist, a husband, a father, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently working as a dentist at a community health center in West Virginia. I love my patients and my coworkers! Working in public health provides me with the opportunity of serving people who would normally go without care. I have an incredible wife and four wonderful children, all under the age of 9. Raising children is very challenging but brings so much joy! I cannot imagine life without my precious little family. I love thrift shopping and shopping garage sales. It's like experiencing the thrill of the hunt! I also enjoy tennis and basketball, although I'm not exceptionally good at either one.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family, and grew up going to church every Sunday. During my teenage years, just as I started to question everything my parents told me, I began to wonder if Jesus Christ actually appeared to Joseph Smith and chose him to be the prophet to restore His church to the earth. I needed to know for myself. I decided that the key was to know if the Book of Mormon is true. If the Book of Mormon is the word of God, then Joseph Smith was actually a prophet. If Joseph Smith was a prophet, then this is the true Church of Jesus Christ. I prayed and asked my Heavenly Father to tell me if the Book of Mormon was true. I know that God answers prayers, because he answered my prayer, as a 16 year old boy. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I am a Mormon because I know Jesus Christ restored His church to the earth through Joseph Smith. Finally, I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet, called by God, to lead His church today.

How I live my faith

I think one of the greatest challenges facing Christians today is how many distractions there are all around us. We are constantly bombarded with things that fill up our days, so there is little time to consider where we came from, why we are here, and what will happen after this life. I have decided to rededicate my life to serving my Savior, Jesus Christ, and to following his teachings. I am focusing my career as a dentist to serving people who cannot afford dental care. Every day I am given many opportunities, through my interactions with my patients, to show love and concern for my brothers and sisters (because I believe we are all children of God). At church, my wife and I teach the 7 year-old children. I have found that the best way to learn about Christ, is to try to teach others about Christ.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Ryan Clark
Yes! You have probably wondered why we build temples all over the world. This is why! We believe that a family can be sealed together, for all eternity, in a temple of God. There is no "till death do we part." This is one of the most exciting beliefs we have. It brings so much joy into my life to know that I will be with my family forever! Show more Show less
