Hi I'm Chad Sanders

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in rural Kentucky and moved with my family to Florida. Our son is now serving a mission in Utah.

About Me

I'm the oldest of seven children. Growing up we were called "the alphabet family" because all our names are in alphabetical order. Kinda funny huh? I'm happily married for 17 years. We have three children, a son and two daughters. We adopted both of our daughters. I enjoy the water, especially spending time with family and friends fishing the salt and fresh waters of Florida. I work as a Detention Deputy for the Sheriff's office in the county jail. I see the results of making bad choices. I enjoy the opportunity to share my beliefs in the hopes of making a difference in the lives of those who may be lost or simply need help getting back on the right path.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me and my brothers and sisters as Latter-Day Saints ("Mormons" as we are sometimes called). However, as we all must do at some point, I had to learn for myself whether or not this way of life was for me... if it was true. Throughout my life I have experienced many times where the Holy Ghost has whispered that sweet feeling of just knowing. You can't give the feeling justice through words, you just know that it's true. That's what I feel, and that's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to live for my family. They come first and are the most important part of life. Everything I do, with each decision I face, I first consider how it will affect or benefit my family. This has come because of the eternal perspective we share as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in our beliefs that "FAMILIES ARE FOREVER." I want to be with my family forever and this church teaches us how this is possible.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Chad Sanders
Families being together forever is central to what we believe is Heavenly Father's plan for His children. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Chad Sanders
Absolutely we are Christians. We believe that Jesus Christ, the same person spoke of in the Holy Bible, the very Savior of the World is in fact our Redeemer, the very Son of God. Our Church bears His name, our teachings are His gospel, our authority to administer saving ordinances such as baptism by immersion comes from Him. Yes, we declare, we are Christians if ever there were any, we are His and He is ours. Through Him and no other we may return to our Father in Heaven. Show more Show less
