Hi I'm Katie

I'm an artist. I'm a musician. I'm a very happy Mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful husband and the sweetest baby boy. I own an event planning business that I run from home. I love my work, but there's nothing I love more than being a wife and mother.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this faith because I know it is Christ's true church on the earth today. The way I have come to know this is by prayer, reading the scriptures, and personal revelation. The Lord lives, He loves us, and He has made it possible for us to live with Him again. Because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ I have hope and true happiness in this life. There are living prophets on the earth today, as in the days of old. These prophets are the mouthpieces of the Lord. How blessed we are to have His guidance and direction in this troubled world. I know that Christ was sent here to perform the Atonement. I know that because of His sacrifice, we can return to live with Him again.

How I live my faith

I am so grateful for my ward calling. I help plan events for the women's group called the Relief Society. I am able to associate with such wonderful women and I am able to help plan events that will be meaningful, uplifting, and educational. These women teach me so much, and we help encourage and uplift each other in times of trial. I know that as I fulfill my calling; my family is truly blessed.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

We believe very strongly in the equality of men and women. Men and women have different roles in life, both with equal importance. Men support and protect their families, women nurture and care for their families. Husband and wife work as equal partners. There are always different situations, financial, marital, or otherwise, that may change these basic tasks, but with the Lord's help and guidance, our families are protected, nurtured, and provided for.
