Hi I'm Ryan

I'm an Easterner at heart. I have a degree in bioinformatics. I love my wife and 2 little kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a dad and I just finished my undergraduate degree a year ago. I like to go running and play board games. I'm an avid Wii fan and my wife and I love movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to continue as a strong member of the Church of Jesus Christ because I know it to be true. I've lived the principles, and know that following God's way is easier than trying to find a way I think is right. It gives me strength and direction in my life to know that I am a child of God, that He has a plan for me, and that He is very interested in my success and happiness. Living the commandments can be hard, but the results I feel in my life are wonderful. It's reassuring to know that God has a prophet on the earth today, someone He has chosen to represent Him and to help us understand what we must do to be happy and return to live with Him.

How I live my faith

I show my faith by loving my family. I try my best to make my wife my top priority and raise my kids in a home with love. I do these things because I know that I can be with my family after this life. I also live my faith by helping those around. I try to give service even when there's nothing in it for me, just as Christ served others.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Ryan
Husband and wife can be together forever. In the book of Matthew Christ tells Peter, "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven." This binding, we believe, refers in part to the power to seal, or marry, a couple for not just time but eternity. We believe that those who make covenants, or promises, with God, by the proper authority, and then strive to follow God's commandments will receive promised blessings, such as living together as families after this life.
