Hi I'm Josh

I grew up in Utah. I train horses, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old and I am serving a mission right now (June 2010-June 2012). I have two sisters and a little brother. I am a college student studying emergency medicine. My passion is horses. I love to be around them. If I could spend the rest of my life on top of a horse, I would.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I am a Mormon because I love the peace that I feel from knowing where I came from, why I'm here, and where I'm going. I'm a Mormon because I love knowing that no matter where I go, I will always have my church family. I am a Mormon because I see how happy it has made my family to know that we can be together eternally. I am a Mormon because I know that my sins and my guilt can be washed away through Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I love to serve others. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have grown up as a Mormon and I have always been taught in the church. Jesus Christ is everything to me. I am trying to be like him by giving service. When I was in high school, I helped start a service club. I helped organize food drives, blood drives, and other service projects with that club. I love the satisfaction I get when I serve others. Now, while I'm on a mission, I am dedicating two years of my life to serving people and serving God. It is one of the greatest forms of satisfaction in my life. Thats how I live my faith.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Well, I'm here. God has asked that all able young men serve a mission for two years, but not only young men can serve. Women can serve missions too when they turn 21. A mission is a choice that all Mormons can make. No one forces us to go. We go because we love Jesus Christ who spent his entire life serving others, and we want to serve others like him. My whole life I have been getting ready to serve a mission, and now that I'm here, I have found that it is the single most worth while thing I have ever done. I get to give service to people, I get to love the people I serve, and I get to come closer to God. Show more Show less
