Hi I'm Jason Minogue

I decided to become a member of the LDS church at age 8 1/2. I can't imagine my life without the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

About Me

I work in healthcare in Houston, TX. I help patients who have been dealing with chronic neurological conditions. In church, I work with the Youth program and Boy Scouts. My wife Ingrid is a Medical Doctor from Colombia.

Why I am a Mormon

I have known since I was a boy that there was something different about the LDS church. I believe it to be the only true church, and the one that Christ directs in order to teach Gods children what we must learn and do here on Earth. I have always been able to obtain answers to those questions we all wonder about. What is surprising for many people is how God actually has revealled so much, and we don't have to wonder what is correct- we can know!

How I live my faith

In church I learned that God expects us to make Him a BIG part of our lives, so I strive to acknowledge Him several times a day through prayers, scripture study and just trying to be good to my wife and others I run into throughout the day. If God really is our Father in Heaven, then how does it make Him feel when days or weeks go by without making any significant time for Him?

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Jason Minogue
Mormons are Christians, so of course we believe the Bible to be the word of God, holy scripture. God reveals His will regarding his children to Prophets. The Bible is a record of some of Gods prophets and Mormons also believe that the writings of other prophets are inspired of God. I am grateful for anything God wants to reveal to us, who am I to say, "Whoa, no more please". Thankfully, God has never said he would stop communicating to us and Mormons believe in modern prophets as well. Show more Show less

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Jason Minogue
In short, we need a Savior to help us achieve something that is out of our reach : perfection. God is fair and just in everything. After this life each of us will receive a reward for how well we lived according to Gods outline. In the Bible we learn that only clean and pure souls can return to live with God. Unfortunately, each of us makes mistakes and this makes us 'spiritually imperfect'. Only Christ can help us overcome this spiritual imperfection as well as overcome physical death as He was the first to do so 3 days after his physical death. We need the help of a perfect being, our big brother Jesus Christ, to be cleansed from our sins and to literally overcome death to then live with in Gods presence. This should be our ultimate goal for this life! Show more Show less
