Hi I'm Tamara

"I am a wife and a mother of three sons. I love family history. I enjoy studying about medicinal herbs I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of three sons. They are all grown. Our sons served missions for the Church in Connecticut, Taiwan and Florida and Georgia. Our two oldest sons have recently married wonderful young women and now I finally have daughters. We are really enjoying our time together. My husband and I enjoy gardening in our square foot garden and spending time with family. I am studying to become a Master Herbalist, so I enjoy learning about plants and how I can use them to keep our bodies healthy. I have a passion for family history and love finding out about my ancestors. As I learn about my family I appreciate all they went through. As I learn about their trials and hardships I realize they got through some very difficult times. I know if they could do it -so can I. I appreciate their faith in God and Jesus Christ and it strengthens my faith.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but I studied and prayed to know, for myself, if the teachings presented in The Church Of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints were true. These gospel teachings have given me so much hope and help in raising my family. I know when I pray I can recieve answers to my prayers. I know where I came from and that I have a purpose on this earth. I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father and a brother, Jesus Christ, that loves me. I know that after I die I can live with them and my family forever and that means everything to me. I

How I live my faith

I work with children ages 18 months to 11 years. We teach these children how to live as Jesus would have them live. This year the children around the world are learning how to choose the right and the consequences of their choices. We study examples from the scriptures of men and women living righteously. We encourage them to follow these great people and especially to follow Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I also help people learn about their family history. It is exciting to help others find that connection from the past. I help them prepare family names to take to the temple. We believe families can continue on together after we die. In order to do this we believe we must be sealed together in the temple. Many of our family members didn't know about these ordinances, so the work is done for them. If they choose to accept this work, then they can also have the joy of being with their families forever.
