Hi I'm Brigham

I'm a brother, I'm a son, I'm a scientist, I'm a friend. I rock at Air Hockey and I love sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Before my mission I was majoring in Microbiology and minoring in Italian and Portuguese. Here I speak Portuguese every day and am learning more Italian and some Spanish as well. I like studying languages. I am fifth out of six kids and I have five awesome nieces and nephews. I would like to be a brain surgeon one day. I really enjoy hiking, rock climbing and riding horses. I love playing Ultimate Frisbee. I love playing the piano and conducting. I go to Church every week and I love to spend time with my family. I am the bomb at Air Hockey. I love the life I have and the chance I have to always improve.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon Faith but as most people I had to ask questions one day. I was in my junior year in high school and began to be a bit rebellious. "Why should I?" "What's the big deal?" "Who cares!" These were some fairly common phrases coming from my mouth. I finally decided that I needed to either quit, or be stronger than ever and redevote myself to the things that I had been taught since I was a child. I decided to study, to learn, to get down on my knees and ask that Divine Being which we all call God if He was real, if He cared, if this was His Church on the Earth today and if it really mattered. I needed to ask my Father some questions and I needed His help. I studied. I learned. I got down on my knees and I got that answer. I am a Mormon because on that day almost three years ago I recieved my whitness that this Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, is in fact that Lord's Church on the Earth today. It holds the fullness of the Gospel of Salvation and can help all of our Father's children come back to Him. I know it is true. It's not a belief but a knowledge and thats why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Right now I'm serving a full-time mission for the Church. I've been assigned to labor in the Massachusetts Boston Mission speaking Portuguese. On this mission I will spend two years of my life serving other people teaching them of their Savior, Jesus Christ, and His Gospel. While I'm on this mission I write home once a week and get to call my family twice a year. At all other times I'm focused on other people trying to help them through trials they might be having by teaching them of Jesus Christ and how He can help all people through all things.

Are Mormons Christians?

The answer to this question is a most definite yes! Mormons believe Jesus Christ to be the Savior and Redeemer, the very Son of God. The Book of Mormon, a volume of scripture translated by Joseph Smith through the power of God, teaches, like the Bible, of Jesus Christ, His life and ministry and that only through Christ can we achieve salvation in the life to come. The name of our Church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We talk of Christ, we preach of Christ, we testify of Christ, we rejoice in Christ. Show more Show less
