Hi I'm Randy Formanek

Born in Iowa, but grew up in San Diego California, USA to the present time. Have a wonderful wife and three daughters.

About Me

Live in the San Diego County Area (California, USA) I was married in 1982 after serving a mission in the Chicago, Illinios areas (USA) I have 3 daughters. I have served in many leadership positions in the church including bishop (over a congregation) and a member of a stake presidency (over several congregations). I volunteer as a weekly worker in the San Diego Temple. I am self employed, have my own store (engraving, awards, trophies, gifts). My wife works as a Secretary at an institute of religion (religious instruction for college age young adults)

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church at 19 years of age. Taught by the missionaries in such a powerful way, not so much by what was said, but by how I felt when they said it. The church changed my view of the world and gave me confidence that we are here on earth for a reason. The leadership of the church are inspired of God and are genuine men and women that speak by the power of God and teach us how to cope in this world. The teaching that we can live together forever as a family after death is very comforting and a true principle. This changes how I live my life currently and gives me hope.

How I live my faith

Daily Prayer, Scripture Study and try to follow the example of Jesus. I love serving in the church as a volunteer for many efforts like missionary work by teaching about the church to members and non members alike. I am happiest when I serve others.
