Hi I'm Matt

I grew up in Wyoming (USA) and am happily married with four children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy learning new things, reading good books, outdoor activities and serving others. I have a wife and four wonderful children. We enjoy biking, camping, learning, and playing together. I enjoy gardening, and other creative hobbies.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, so I've known it all my life. But, it was when I was 16 years old that I truly became converted to the Lord. At that time, I went through a challenging time in my life, mostly because of my own decisions. It was the mercy and grace of Jesus Christ that helped me through the difficulty. The Lord touched my heart in a way that is hard to describe and I have tried to always live my life to be close to Him ever since.

How I live my faith

Living my faith means being a disciple of Jesus Christ. I start my day with prayer and reading from the scriptures. I ask the Lord to help me live my life in the best possible way and to help me be worthy of His Holy Spirit. At church I serve our congregation as a counselor to our Bishop and I sing in the choir. Serving with our Bishop allows me to get to know everyone and to serve closely with the young men and young women. I enjoy being a missionary and sharing my testimony with others because the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings me so much joy.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is like being a member of a world-wide family. No matter where I go, I can find a church with friends and members I can relate with. We share a common bond of faith with people of every race and color under heaven. In this church it is easy to see that we are all children of God no matter what we look like or where we're from.
