Hi I'm Andrew

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a married father of three boys. I work for a local agency as a social worker. I serve in the young men and scouting program in my local ward.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have been raised in the church, but have not been active my entire life. There have been a couple of times that my activity was "less active." However, as a youth in church I remember being asked by our Primary President who wanted to serve a mission and I raised my hand. I can still picture the little primary room and the benches that we sat on. Years later that would come to fruition. After being in-active for about six years I decided a change needed to be made, so I went back to church. One of the changes I wanted to make was to serve a mission, but I was nearly twenty-two years old and thought my time had passed. I was wrong and my Bishop was very happy to clarify it all for me. In preparation for my mission I met a young lady at institute class and we became close. I explained my desire to serve. I was called to serve in Morristown New Jersey. After out for a year I received a letter from the young lady informing me was was called to serve to Independence Missouri. I came home, waited for her to serve. Yes, I waited!! We were sealed in Oakland, CA, and have endured the loss of our second son and cherish our two other boys. I am so happy for our service and the sealing power found only in the Temple's of our Lord and Savior. There has been so much to learn over the years and I am thankful to have done so and to have the family that I have. I know the blessings that Christ spoke of are true and come to all who ask in the right time and the right season.

How I live my faith

I try to serve how my Savior would serve. I work to be honest in all that I do whether my home, occupation, or church service. I try to accept and serve with all diligence in the responsibilities that have been extended to me. I find it much easier when I begin my days with prayer and scripture study. It helps me to have a better focus for the day. I pray during the day and then end the day in prayer. I also find comfort in family prayer each day. Our schedules can be off because of work and school and activities, but we always find the time to pray each evening. It really helps to pray as often as possible together as a family!
