Hi I'm Brenden

I grew up in the Great Northwest, I'm a Communicator in the Marine Corps, a father of two, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Having been born and raised in Oregon, I have an affinity for loving the outdoors. So naturally I grew up a Boy Scout involving myself in as many camp outs and adventures as possible. Even now I try to keep myself involved with outdoor activities with one of my favorites being Geocaching. There is not much better in life than finding an urban treasure, if only a log to make an entry. As the next step for my life, the only logical extension to my interest in the outdoors was to join a branch of the military. Through a number of interactions with recruiters and limited research I fell in love with the Marine Corps nearly at first sight. Although it does not define me as a person, my job as a Marine is a big part of who I am. With that said, the most important thing in my life is my family. Since being the father of two busy boys and a husband to a lovely wife provides a full plate of things to be done, I do not have much time for anything else.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because deep down in my heart I know it is true. It is what made me into the person I am today and what will make me into the better person I hope to become tomorrow. Without this religion in my life I would be desperately lost and starved for real direction and hope. It has brought true peace and happiness to my life even when times are tough. It is the only source of real strength that enables me to endure any trial in life with peace and patience.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by remembering that I am a son of our Heavenly Father and trying to live in a way pleasing unto Him. Life can become very busy and filled with distractions that would draw each of us away from giving our attention and precious time to the things that matter most in this life. By keeping that as my focus I realize the importance of my calling as a father to my children and a husband to my wife. My time is not my own and I willingly offer as much of it to them as I can by spending time with them and serving them.
