Hi I'm Emily

I'm a Student, Baker, craft maker, fun loving, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I always have trouble writing about myself but here it goes. I was born and raised in a small town in Northern California called Lincoln. I am the youngest of 5, four older brothers. Yes they liked to tease me but they were also body guards but i know they love having a younger sister. I was raised by two amazing people who taught me young that i was a child of God with unlimited potential . That knowledge has helped me go after my dreams even if it seems impossible at the time. I grow up as a very shy girl and suffered from anxiety that kept me from many opportunity. With Faith in what my parents taught me and Faith in Christ and his life and teachings i was able to serve an 18 month in the Louisville Kentucky Mission. My mission was one of the best moment in my life because not only was i able to help others find their purpose in life and share the wonderful life of Jesus Christ but i was also able to find my self and the person i want to be for the rest in my life. When i returned from my mission i applied for Brigham Young University- Idaho and was accepted. I'm currently studying Culinary Arts and can't wait to own a Bakery and share my love of baking with others.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I Mormon, will that's a great question, Why Not? I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Growing up I based my belief on what my parents and church leaders would tell me. You could say that I had faith that it was true but didn't really know. I applied to go on a mission for the church and was called to the Great Kentucky Louisville Mission. It was while serving the lord and his church that I came to the knowledge of the truth. In the last book of the Book of Mormon there is a prophet Moroni he was the last prophet to write in the book and he says "behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye Should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts. And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." Moroni 10:3-5 After reading these scriptures I took Moroni's challenge and prayed to know the truth of the Book Of Mormon. After I prayed I got this simple reply in my head "you know its true you've always known" which came with a feeling of peace. I know now more then ever that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ and all who will read and pray about the Book of Mormon will come to that same knowledge. I am Mormon because I know that its true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to those around me. Following Christ example by serving others and being a shoulder to lean one. I also Live my faith by following all of the Lords commandments and look for Opportunities to share the Gospel.

What is being a Mormon like?

Emily
Being a Mormon is the best. To have the knowledge of where we came from, why we are here and where we are going gives strength and comfort through hard times and peace during the great times and everything in between. Life as a Mormon is a life full of joy and happiness. Show more Show less
