Hi I'm Rachel

I grew up on a farm in Kentucky and now live in Texas. I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the bluegrass state of Kentucky on a farm. In 2004 I moved to Utah to go to school where I later met my husband. Recently, my husband and I moved to League City, TX. I'm a big reader and my husband and I both love the outdoors and are taking advantage of being so near a beach.

Why I am a Mormon

I strongly believe in God and in His son Jesus Christ. There have been numerous times in my life when I have received answers to prayers, had experiences and received inspiration that let me know that God is there and He knows me personally. My whole life is shaped by my belief in God and it helps me to make decisions to plan for the future. Both of my parents were converts to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I know their choices to join impacted their lives in a huge way. Everytime I read the scriptures I better understand the gospel. Everytime I pray with real intent I know that God hears my prayers and I believe He not only has a plan for all His children but I believe He has a plan especially for me and if I am worthy and true I can help my family and many others.

How I live my faith

I work with the women in our congregation in setting up visiting teaching. Every woman in the congregation is assigned a pair of visiting teachers. These visiting teachers will look after their assigned women by visiting with them, being there for them when needed and to make sure needs are met. Every woman is also invited to be a visiting teacher.
