Hi I'm Jordan Barton

I am from California, I am a university student, I am a ping pong fanatic, I am happily married, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student of pharmacy. I am happily married to my wife Katy, I have two beautiful daughters named Norah and Darcy. I love to play golf and swim, and most every other sport.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I feel that I am becoming a better person, and I feel good when I do Mormon things. I am Mormon because I believe that the principles that have been taught to me are are the same principles that can make someone great.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday. It isn’t a once a week ritual, but instead it is a lifestyle for me. Whether its by daily prayer and daily scripture or by asking myself how can I do better today then what I did yesterday, I believe that once I made the decision to be a Mormon, I needed to stay a Mormon and do all the Mormon things that I was asked to do.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Jordan Barton
The temple is one of the places that I go to, that allows me to feel closest to my Heavenly Father. We call the temple the house of God, and I that is what I believe them to be. We attend temples to worship our Father in Heaven and to take part in what the Lord wishes to give us as blessings to his children. In the temple we are taught the things that are necessary to return back to the presence of our father in heaven. We are reminded of the Fall of Adam and the Atonement of Jesus Christ which overcomes the fall and prepares us to enter into God's kingdom. The temple is also a place where the Lord wishes to inspire all those attending to receive the guidance that they need in their lives at that time, as well as ways that we could better become more Christlike and better live his teachings. My experiences in the temple have taught me that the Lord is aware of our needs and has a plan for each and every one of us. Constantly I am reminded of his Love and his patience in me as I go to the temple. Show more Show less
