Hi I'm Andrea

I live in Spokane, WA. I am a wife and a mother to 6, including two adopted from China and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a living my dream of being a wife and mother to six kids. I love being the manager of our family organization and taking care of our home and family. In 2004 my husband and I were just living our lives with our four young children, ages 1-9, when the idea of adopting came to us. Nine months later we found ourselves in an orphanage in China picking up our daughter who was 16 months old. A year and a half later we returned to the same orphanage and adopted a 2.5 year old boy. Life hasn't been the same since. We love to spend time waterskiing and snowskiing as a family. I love to learn and I'm a voracious reader and find that reading keeps me sane. I also love to spend time with friends and serving in my church callings.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My ancestors can be traced back to the original members of the church and I feel a deep sense of gratitude for their examples of faith and service. I am grateful to my parents who made the church and Jesus Christ the center of our lives. When I was in my early 20's I had the opportunity to live in Israel for six months. While living in Jerusalem we studied in depth the Old and New Testament and the life of Christ. It was at that point in my life that I became truly converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ and committed my life to serving Him.

How I live my faith

Church attendance is very important to our family and we look forward to every Sunday when we can go to church and renew our spirit and our commitment to the Savior. We also read and study the scriptures, pray together and once a week have a family night where we can discuss a gospel topic. I also love to serve in my church calling. Currently I am working in our women's organization and am responsible for organizing approximately 100 women and our efforts to learn more about the gospel and serve one another. My faith is constantly strengthened as I witness women reaching out to one another in times of joy and tragedy.
