Hi I'm Marcus

I've lived in Washington state my entire life. I am a convert and was baptized with my children in August of 2009.

About Me

I am a father of two wonderful boys and have been married for 14 years to my wonderful wife. In my youth I was an avid water skier and wake boarder. I still enjoy bowling when I get the chance to get out and do it. After having worked in restaurants for 15 years I'm enjoying the office environment that I work in now. I have seen many challenges over the years and I've come to appreciate the growth that I have had as an individual because of them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because as I had studied the Bible and examined it's teachings it was clear to me that there was more to life than what I had fully grasped. After speaking with a couple missionaries and attending church in our local ward and getting to know the members, I was inspired to learn more. This doctrine has helped me to be a better father, husband, friend and coworker. I have found a true love for my fellow man and more patience than I had even realized I was capable of. I look forward to the time that I spend at church each week and I feel so blessed to be given the opportunity to get to know my ward family. I learn so much from them and am strengthened by the example they set for me.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as president in the Sunday School organization for my ward. I love being able to assist with the spiritual learning of my ward. I have participated service projects, assisted people with moves and participated in building cleanup. There is such a great feeling that you get when you help someone else. I read the scriptures frequently with my boys and love the families that I home teach. I don't drink alcohol or coffee/tea or use tobacco which helps me to be more physically fit and prevents the financial burden that can come with addiction. I do my best to be a good example for my fellow man and look for opportunities to help out anyone that I can in any way I can. I live my faith by doing my best to follow the example of the savior and being kind, loving and obedient and by doing my best to set an example for my children to do the same.
