Hi I'm Johanna

I'm a wife and a stay at home mother of five daughters. I'm a cyclist, a gardener, and a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay at home mom taking classes at a community college to finish my teaching degree. I enjoy long bike rides with my husband and family movie nights in our home theater. My favorite movie is 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers'. I enjoy knitting and tatting, a skill taught to me by my grandmother. While attending an Education Week class, I learned about square foot gardening. I now enjoy gardening and learning more about what grows best where I live. My husband and I are involved in the Boy Scout program and we both enjoy the association we have with fellow scouters. I home schooled my daughters through their elementary school years. It was a joy and pleasure to have them home with me full time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and have always known it to be true. I count this as one of the many blessings in my life. While still in my youth I always had the desire to serve a mission for the church. At the age of 21 I was called to serve a mission and I took full advantage of the time I was given to love and teach the people. I enjoy reading the scriptures and learning more about my Savior.

How I live my faith

I am one of the instructors for the Family History class and I also help organize the monthly meetings for the sisters in the ward. I enjoy visiting four other sisters in my ward on a monthly basis and I sing in the ward choir.
