Hi I'm John

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a junior in college trying to figure out what to do with myself. I like to read in my spare time and also play pick up games of football. My family is super important to me so I tend to spend a lot of time with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe in living the principles taught by Jesus Christ. This church teaches those principles and helps me live them the best I can. I'm a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and found it to be a true book espousing the doctrine of Christ. I'm a Mormon because it is in this church that the Spirit of Christ resides to lead and guide me back to my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I believe that little things done consistently bring the biggest results. Currently I am able to look after and help three members of the congregation. I am able to share experiences of trying to live the principles of Christ with them and they with me. But most importantly I try to live my faith in my daily doings with others. While these may seem small they are the essence of Christ's teachings.

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

John
One of the prophet's in the Book of Mormon said it best, everything in this life points to the existence of God. I firmly hold that belief. Some of the physical things that hit me hard are my family, mountains, the ocean and the stillness that can come in nature. Yet there is more than just the physical world. There are some things, like love, happiness and compassion which, upon quiet reflection, bring me to know of His existence. Most importantly though are the spiritual experiences which have touched my heart and seared into my soul the knowledge that God exists. Show more Show less
