Hi I'm Seb

I'm from England, I'm a student, I served a LDS mission, I love to travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student studying in North West England and am originally from South East England. I served a two year mission in Switzerland, Austria and Germany and speak fluent german and now help to train missionaries going to German-speaking countries at the England Missionary Training Centre. I play the drums. I love to travel. I love sports, especially football. I listen to lots of music. I love chilling out with friends and most of all with my fiancée. I am active in my faith.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I could not live without the great blessings to my life that I receive from trying to live as a faithful follower of Christ. It gives me a sense of purpose and direction. I helps me to know what is important in my life, what things I want to achieve and what to focus on. I helps me to lead a honest and more virtuous life. Through my faith and membership in the Lord's church, I am able to become a better person and reach levels that I never knew I had. I see his hand in my life in so many ways and feel so blessed. What's more, I prayed about it. I asked got on my knees in prayer and asked God if the Book of Mormon is true and if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints really is the true church of Jesus Christ on the earth today. I got an answer in the form on a strong spiritual impression which I can't deny and never will be able to. Since then, I have repeatedly had so many confirmations! This is something which no-one can ever take from me. The gospel blesses all aspects of my life and I am so grateful for it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to represent the Saviour in my everyday actions. Whether I am on the street, with friends, at work or at university, I try to let my personality and actions portray they faith that I have. I have served as a full time missionary, ward missionary, Young Single Adult group representative. I also love to read regularly in the scriptures and go to church every Sunday. Spending time with my family is important to me and I love to be with them. I see the influence of our Heavenly Father all around me. I see it when I travel and visit different cultures. I see it outside in nature and in the mountains or by the see.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Seb
You can know for yourself, by following the council given by Moroni, in Moroni 10:3-5. Just read it, and offer up a sincire prayer to heavenly father, and he will answer! Show more Show less

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Seb
Yes they do. However, it is easy to see that the Bible is understood very differently by different faiths and there are also many translations of the Bible. This makes it sometimes difficult to understand exactly what is meant just from the bible. It is for this reason, that the Book of Mormon was revealed. So that we can have another record of the same gospel and teaching of Christ, but from a different group of people in history. Show more Show less
