Hi I'm Christen

The happiest moments of my life have been the few which have passed at home in the bosom of my family -Thomas Jefferson

About Me

I live in the midwest, and am a mother and a wife. I stay at home to give extra care and attention to my daughter, who has some special needs.

Why I am a Mormon

In my young adult years, I attended many churches and really looked around. I choose to belong to the Mormon church as I realized the strong spirit I felt when I was there. Other churches talked about feeling the spirit, but I felt the Lord's spirit strongest at the Mormon church. The members have always impressed me. I believe that striving to keep the commandments outlined in the scriptures makes people stand out as followers of Christ. I recognized a great majority of the members of the Mormon church to be followers of Christ. As I started to really devote myself to the Lord more fully, and after I was an active member of the church, I began to notice that I too was changing. I became stronger in so many areas, and much happier. I know that I have been taught true principles and that the leaders of the church are called of God.

How I live my faith

My membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has been what has brought me to Christ. The strength I have received from living the principles taught in the scriptures has enabled me to face many challenges and come out much stronger (instead of broken). I have a firm testimony that we are God's children, that we were given this opportunity to go through trials on earth so that we can grow stronger. I know we are not alone, because I have definately seen evidence of this in my life.

Are Mormons Christians?

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is our church's proper name. We were only nicknamed Mormon's because of our extra book of scripture called the "Book of Mormon," which contains the sub heading "another testiment of Jesus Christ." Everything we do in the church we do in the name of Jesus Christ. When we pray, we pray to our Heavenly Father, and seal our prayers in the name of Jesus Christ. We claim Christ as our redeemer and the Savior of all mankind. We believe that he died for us and was ressurected, that all men might live again. In my experience, I have never known a faith that was more focused on the Savior. Show more Show less
