Hi I'm Jamie

I grew up in Northern California. I am a school teacher and personal trainer in Washington, D.C. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated college, BYU, with my BS in Exercise Science, with an emphasis in PE teaching and coaching and a minor in Nutrition. I am an avid road cyclist.

Why I am a Mormon

I know Jesus Christ lives. I know He established His true church on the Earth in His day, with a prophet and twelve apostles who had the priesthood, the power of God to act in His name. I know Christ's church is now restored again on the Earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. When I was 14 I read the Book of Mormon from cover to cover. I read it and prayed to know if it was true or not. I prayed every day for two weeks with no answer. I was tired of not getting an answer and I decided I was going to ask one last time. I finally got my answer. I knew it was true, I always knew it was true. Since the Book of Mormon is true, then Joseph Smith is a true prophet because he translated it. If Joseph Smith is a prophet, then this is Christ's true and restored church.

How I live my faith

I served a mission in the most southern part of Chile, close to by where the earthquakes and tsunami hit. I now teach Sunday school in my ward in Northern Virginia once every 6 weeks and help the missionaries with whatever they need. I also volunteer every week at the temple to assist patrons that attend.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

We increase our faith through study of the scriptures, prayer, and obedience to the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
