Hi I'm Wade

I'm from the US. I work with inmates who suffer from alcoholism or other drug addictions. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I recently finished a Master's degree. I've been married for a few years now and we have an overly energetic little boy. I love to go backpacking, mountain biking and long-boarding. I really want to travel the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it provides me with a correct understanding of what life is really about. Living my life according to teachings of the Mormon church is my source of true happiness. I am a Mormon because it keeps me close to God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching those new to the church about the teachings of the church, and also by visiting other members of the congregation to make sure they are doing okay.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Wade
We perform baptisms for the dead because there are many souls who did not have the chance to hear or accept the gospel of Jesus Christ during their lifetime. Because death is not the end of life, and because baptism into the true church of Jesus Christ is essential for salvation from sin, God provided a way for everyone to have the chance to be baptized by the proper authority. Faithful members of Christ's true church can go to the temple and be baptized in behalf of those who did not have the opportunity to do so. Show more Show less

What is a ward/stake/branch?

Wade
A ward is a congregation. A group of wards make up a stake. A branch is used when there are only a few members in an area, it's like a small ward. Show more Show less
