Hi I'm Tina

I am a mom to 7. I am a Child of God and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 7 beautiful kids.I am married to my high school sweetheart. I love to scrapbook when I can get the opportunity. I am a convert to the church and was baptized in 1998. My husband and I were sealed fro time and eternity in October of 1999. I love to read and be with my family. I was a stay at home mom for many years but now work part time. I love to watch my kids play soccer. We are a family of soccer lovers. We like baseball as well.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I am a Mormon for many reason. I was raised in another religion and was active in that religion until I moved to another state. Then trying to find some where that I felt at home and believed in all that was taught became hard. My husband and I decided that we would go to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where his father and siblings attended. We became active nonmembers I say as we came to all meetings and joined in with the members. We felt at home and at peace with all that was taught. It helped to be able to answers questions and feel at peace with what was being said in reply. When we decided to formally take the lessons from the Missionaries it all fell into place. The gospel felt right and my spirit was happy when I was learning more. I prayed to Heavenly Father to know and the spirit reassured me that this was the true gospel of Christ. The church has helped to answers questions that I had and to strengthen beliefs that I had that others were not sure of. I am a Mormon because I know it is the true gospel of Christ on the earth.

How I live my faith

I have served in many calling in the church. I have been in Primary the longest working with the little children. I love working with them as they are eager to learn of their Heavenly Father and it helps to remind us of the small and simple truth's of the gospel. I am currently working with the young women 12-18 years of age, I have 2 daughters in this age group so it is nice to be able to watch them grow in to such wonderful young women and help the as they grow as daughters of God. I have also done music in Primary, this a great calling as you retain most of what you learn in song. I am grateful to be able to work with these sweet spirits and to feel of the Savior's love as they grow in the knowledge that their Heavenly Father loves them and they are special to him. I live my faith every day as I strive to be a better person. mother, daughter and friend. I strive to live the standards that Heavenly Father would have me to. It comes natural and helps you to feel the love of your Heavenly Father. I strive to do good and to treat all equal as we are all brothers and sisters in Christ.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Families are so important to Mormons because they help us to grow and gain experiences in life. In my family we teach love, service, kindness and respect. We share our problems, issues as well as our strengths and achievements. We strive to uplift each other and to have happiness. The family is central to Heavenly Father's plan. He wants us to be happy and having a loving family can help you achieve this. While we all experience trials of our faith the family helps to make us stronger and gives you the shelter and help that you need. We can not choose our conditions but we can choose to make out family stronger and happier each day. We can be with our family forever when we return to our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
