Hi I'm Kimberly.

I grew up in a small Southeastern Idaho town. I'm a biology student. I love to be outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Southeastern Idaho, and I'm getting my Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology-Biomedical Sciences. I plan to be a pharmacist one day. I have one younger brother. I love being outside and sleeping under the stars. I like to read and spend time with my family. My favorite thing to do is to try new things. I hope to make a difference in the world someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been asked many times how I can study the things that I do and still believe what I believe. The more I learn about the things around me, the more convinced I am that we have an all-knowing, loving Heavenly Father. There are times when I stand in awe at the greatness of God, and even more so at the fact that He is also my Father who knows who I am and knows my needs. My family is my greatest possession, and we are not strangers to the death of loved ones. But I find peace in knowing that when people who are close to me pass away, it is not the end. I will be with them again. This knowledge helps me strengthen my relationships with my family members still on Earth because I know we will not be separated when we die. There is so much happiness in the gospel. As I have allowed it to enter my heart, I have been changed. I look at people differently, and I have more compassion for others. I love to read the Book of Mormon and know that its words are true. It is another testament of Jesus Christ. The only way to know of its truth is to pray and ask Heavenly Father about it. The gospel of Jesus Christ has blessed my life in immense and numerous ways, and I know it is true.

How I live my faith

I use the example of our Savior when living my faith. He was a perfect man and offered the perfect sacrifice; implementing His qualities in my life is a sure way for me to stay on the right track. I've come to realize that even the most happy people have hard things they deal with, so I try to make their burden lighter by helping in some small way, even if it's just a smile. Serving others allows me to forget about myself. I help organize activities on Monday nights for the people I go to church with to help provide a good environment for everyone to get to know one another. Whenever I have the opportunity, I also go to the temple, a piece of heaven on earth. The temple is where families are sealed together for eternity along with other sacred work. Attending the temple allows me to realign my priorities and gives me extra peace in my life. As I study the scriptures and pray to my Father in Heaven, I strengthen my relationship with Him and my faith is increased.
