Hi I'm Spencer Kersh

I'm a caribbean missionary mon, I'm a tall mon, I'm a happy mon and I'm a "mor mon".......ya mon ☺

About Me

My name is (Elder) Spencer Kersh. (Elder is a title given to missionaries) I'm currently serving a mission for this church in the San Juan Puerto Rico Mission. I love the Caribbean (ya mon) and love my mission. I'm the second oldest of 9 children and the first to serve a mission in my family. I speak Spanish (puertorriqueno) and I love to talk to people. I look forward to the future and having my own family. I like music, movies, outdoors, food, football, and laughing.

Why I am a Mormon

Why not? I was raised in this church and my testimony or thoughts on it all was that it's all the same to me. It wasn't until the hard years of high school came that i actually thought about why. Why did i belong to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints? Did i make that choice? I really decided that i wanted to know how i really felt about being a member of the church and so I took a chance and really just prayed about it. My conclusion was that this church helps me to reach the most potential. Period. It does that because it is the only church that has ALL of the gospel of jesus Christ. It has all of the gospel of Jesus Christ because of many reasons, but principally because God called a modern day prophet to bring back that which had been lost. I think to my self this question and pose the question to others: Does it make you a better person? How do you really feel about it? I promise that those who really think deep in their hearts about joining this church and agreeing to live in accordance with the teachings, you will see the same results that i and millions of others have seen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith step by step. Our living day prophet Thomas S. Monson has said "Life by the yard is hard, but by the inch it's a cinch". If you think about the commandment to endure to the end, we must first endure to the end of each day. Endure to the end for me means to endure to the end of the day, one day at a time. Sure there are some days that are just harder than ever and you just can't wait for them to end; but life is about learning from every day and then living the next day better. Every day is a new day and every choice a new choice. Life is lived minute by minute. The smalls little things in life are the things that matter. That to me is to honestly and truly live life to the fullest. My ideal outlook on life is that we love and take advantage of every opportunity to learn because that what we have come here to do. I'm a huge family man because I love my family, man!! I love the scriptures because they light up even my darkest days. I look forward to many things in the future and have hope because of the gospel.
