Hi I'm Camron

I'm a husband. I'm a father. I'm in medical school.

About Me

I attend medical school in Kansas City. Our first child will be born this June--it's a boy! We're excited to be parents. I love being outside, reading, and listening to and playing music. My wonderful wife and I have been incredibly blessed by living our faith.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe in that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, whom God resurrected. I believe that modern prophets are on the earth and lead this church. The results of following the gospel that I see in my life and in the lives of others builds my faith. Do you know a Mormon? Does he or she seem different? It's time to find out why!

How I live my faith

My religion affects all aspects of my life: how I interact with others on a daily basis, how I spend my time, and my goals and dreams. I play the piano and organ in my church, sing in the choir, and teach and lead a group of young men. I am trying to be like Jesus in all that I think, say, and do.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Camron
The Book of Mormon is God's words received by ancient prophets, just like the Bible. These prophets, however, lived in the New World, as opposed to the Old World. It teaches us that Jesus is the Christ and that "there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God." It records the story of His visit to His followers in the Americas following His resurrection. As He told them, "...ye are they of whom I said: Other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd." (see also John 10: 16) I love the Bible and I love the Book of Mormon. I read from both every day and they help me better understand God, become closer with Him, and receive guidance from Him. The Book of Mormon has important and practical answers for life's greatest questions. "Why do bad things happen to good people?" "Does God know me? Does He know and understand what I'm going through?" "What happens after death?" "What is the purpose of life?" "How can I raise my children to be good people?" These questions and more are answered plainly in the Book of Mormon. One of my favorite verses from the Book of Mormon says "...cry unto God for all thy support...let all thy doings be unto the Lord, and whithersoever thou goest let it be in the Lord...let all thy thoughts be directed unto the Lord....Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good...."
