Hi I'm James Tuffy Rice

I am happy to be who God made me to be. I really really really like music. I'm family/friends guy.I love Flagstaff.I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in a town called Flagstaff, AZ. I have lived there my entire life up until now and I absolutly loved it. I worked at a local store since I graduated highschool. When I wasn't working and I was not with my family, I was playing my guitar. Playing has been my life for the past year. But now I have chosen to serve a full time mission for The Chuch of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Now I am dedicated to serving others and I could not be happier. I love my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and this mission is a time when I can give back just a little to him for all He has given me.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Simple answer for a simple question. My family on both sides have been Mormon since the the Church was organized by Joseph Smith. But just because I was born into this religion isn't the reason I continue to be devoted to it. I am a Mormon because I sincerely beleive that this Church and all the teachings are true. With all of my heart and mind. I am a Mormon because I beleive the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. And I know that Jesus Christ is the head of this Church, and that this Church is the same one that was established by the Savior when He was on the earth.

How I live my faith

As a Missionary for the Church, I am a representative of Church. I do my best to act as Christ would act as he would act and to say what he would say. As I do my best to be obedient to the rules I have been given and to keep all the commandments that God has given us, I grow closer to Christ. Right now it is my sacred duty to bring others to Christ. Doing what I am doing right now, how can I not live my faith?

How are modesty and chastity related? How can parents teach their children to be modest in dress, language and behavior?

James Tuffy Rice
We are all imperfect beings, and honestly, for some, it is a fight to keep pure thoughts in thier minds. Why is it important not to have impure thoughts?Hmmmmmm? because impure thoughts can lead to impure actions. When we see modest clothing and hear clean speach, it is easier to keep our thoughts clean. But when we see someone dressed imodestly it can be more difficult to keep our thoughts clean. Okay? We can enjoy a more spirit-filled enviorment when more modest behavior is taking place. Yay modesty!! Show more Show less

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

James Tuffy Rice
This question is one that is requires a very simple answer. If the Church of Christ was restored on the earth, and you knew deep down in your heart that in fact it was, wouldn't you feel responsible to tell everyone about it? That is the only reason. Because the Gospel has brought so much joy and blessings into my life I want to share it with everyone. And not only that, Jesus Christ literaly gave everything so that I could be happy. And I love my Savior with all my heart and mind. Isn't it fair that I that I give something back? I think so Show more Show less

Who are the Mormons?

James Tuffy Rice
Well, first it is important to understand that the name "Mormon" was a name given to us when the Church was established because our Church has in its possesion the Book of Mormon. But this Church is not the Church of Mormon. Nor is it a new Church. This Church is the same Church that Jesus Christ established with Apostles by the Authority of God two thousand years ago. This is the Church of Jesus Christ. The only true that contains the fulness of the Gospel Jesus Christ that was lost after the deaths of the Apostles. But about two hundred years ago God called a Prophet, just like Moses and Abraham, to restore the Church of Jesus Christ. His name was Joseph Smith. And through him the Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored to the earth. Mormons are the members of this Church, that is who we are. Show more Show less
