Hi I'm Nate

I'm a husband and father. At work I'm the computer nerd. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a son, brother, husband and father. I have of 2 adorablemost of the time kids. I like technology and am an IT Manager. I like sports and enjoy mountain biking. I enjoy cooking and grilling. I also really enjoy Mexican food. I'm also a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

In part, I am a Mormon because of it being the faith of my parents. However, the influence of my parents and family plays a small part in my faith. The larger portion of my faith was made possible by the witness I have gained that the Book of Mormon is true. I have prayed and studied the book and received an answer that it is of God. That Joseph Smith translated it by the power of the Holy Ghost. Because of the Book of Mormon my testimony that Jesus is the Christ and Son of God.

How I live my faith

I enjoy helping the full time Mormon missionaries spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. I also teach a Sunday School class for those who have just been baptized into the church or who are attending church to learn more about the Mormon church.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Nate
Baptisim is an outward expression of an inward commitment. The new member makes a commitment to God that he will start a new life dedicated to loving God and their fellow man by becoming a disciple of Christ. If we keep our commitment to God he promises us that he will forgive our sins so that we can return to Him. Show more Show less

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Nate
Many people have concerns that The Book of Mormon may be taking something away from the Bible. I feel this is a valid concern to have as the word of God is valuable. For me the Book of Mormon has blessed me with a greater understanding and appreciation for the Bible. The Book of Mormon is evidence that God loves people across the entire world and testifies that Jesus lived, died, and was resurrected. My love for Jesus is greater because the Book of Mormon and Bible, being read together, taught me that he did die for me. Show more Show less
