Hi I'm Michelle

I'm a redhead, diabetic, wife, mom, and I love food!

About Me

I have a big family - and I love it! One of my all-time favorite things to do is spend time with my family. Other oddball facts about me include that I love thrift store shopping, watching old movies, rainstorms, reading, cooking without recipes, and making muffins. My family and my faith are two of the most important things in my life. My ancestors provide a rich heritage for me to follow, and knowing that God lives and loves me provides hope and peace to me daily.

Why I am a Mormon

To me, being Mormon means that I know Heavenly Father loves all of His children - including me. Being a Mormon means that I have been blessed to know that God has a plan for His children, and He is always there for us. Being a Mormon means that I have been blessed to know of God's love in many personal ways as I have come to understand the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ. I know that Christ knows what it is like to feel alone, different, and outcast. He knows what it is like to be pricked with a needle often, and have life's outlook be shadowed by a disease for which there is no cure. He loves me so much that He did not leave me without hope, and trust in His eternal love. He has restored His gospel to the earth in these latter days, so that His children may return to Him, and have peace and joy in this life. He lives, and He hears and answers prayers. I know this, because He has answered mine. I know that the Book of Mormon is true - it testifies of God's love for His children, and of His plan for us. I've chosen to be a member of this Church because I know that this is His gospel, and this is where all of my questions can be answered. Being Mormon means that I can have peace, joy, and calm even in today's changing world.

How I live my faith

I enjoy reading the scriptures daily and feeling of God's love, and receiving guidance as I do so. I pray to my Heavenly Father, and He answers my prayers. I enjoy serving in my ward congregation, especially as a Visiting Teacher where I get to visit with other women in the ward, and practice and learn what Christ would do in my situation to serve them. I recently served in the world's most wonderful organization for women (in my opinion) called Relief society, where I helped to plan activities and welcome new sisters.
