Hi I'm Aaron

I'm from Arizona. I'm in management consulting and the US Army National Guard. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was growing up I loved camping and being part of the Boy Scouts. It made want to grow up and be a Soldier. When I was going to school, I fell in love. My wife-to-be did not want a military lifestyle, so I joined a big consulting firm, and entered the National Guard as a Lieutenant. These days I spend my time working with clients, playing with my baby son, and teaching an early-morning religion class to some high school students from church.

Why I am a Mormon

One of the most important days of my life was when I was baptized and became a Mormon. I was eight at the time, and I had no doubt that what I was doing was right. When I grew a little older, I started wondering whether God was really out there. By the time I was 15, I had my doubts about whether any religion really made sense. My dad suggested that I read a book called "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis. When I read that book I felt peace and a warm assurance that Jesus lives and cares for me. Soon afterward, I read the Book of Mormon, and prayed to know if it is true. For two months after I finished it, I didn't feel like I had received an answer. Bu when I finally prayed and asked again, I had a spiritual experience that I can't describe very well. It was wonderful and made it completely clear that what I had read was true. That is how I first came to know that Joseph Smith, who first published the Book of Mormon, was directed by God.

How I live my faith

At 6:00 AM every school morning I meet six high school students at the church. They get up to study church history and what prophets like Joseph Smith have taught. While I prepare the lessons, they are often end up teaching me things.
