Hi I'm Fredrik

I'm Norwegian. I'm a future chemist. I'm a convert. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 21 year old young man from Mandal, Norway. I am currently serving a full-time mission. I live with my mom most of the time, but I see my dad frequently. I am a guitarist and a singer. I also like to play soccer. In 2009, during a year to Las Vegas as a foreign exchange-student, I was converted and baptized into this church. Best choice I have ever made!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it is the only true church on this earth. I know that because I have obtained a testimony about it. The essential doctrine of this gospel makes more sense to me than anything else. It shows me that God is not a god of anger and wrath and seeking to condemn everyone who are bad, but he is rather a just and merciful god and is giving all men the opportunity to repent. I know that Heavenly Father loves his children and through the plan of happiness we can all return to him. The gospel has blessed my life, and it continues to do so when I live it, and I want others to have those same blessings. I felt like I understood God more and his plan through reading the Book of Mormon, and the way I came to know that the Book of Mormon truly was the revealed word of God, was to pray and ask him myself it the book was through. Through the feelings one receives from the Holy Spirit, this truth has been confirmed to me, that the Book of Mormon truly is the word of God.

How I live my faith

Currently I am serving as a full-time missionary for the church in Southern-England. My every-day life now consist of dedicated service to the Lord. I do so by studying the scriptures in the morning (such as The Holy Bible and The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ). During the day I try my best to speak with as many people as possible about our church and our beliefs, and to help them find the same happiness I have found through Jesus Christ. By doing this, volunteerily, I am happy to know that someone else has found the same happiness I have found. It is very rewarding!

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

The Word of Wisdom was a revelation from God given to the prophet Joseph Smith in 1833. (read about it in Doctrine & Covenants section 89) The Word of Wisdom is an additional commandment, encouraging us to eat properly and stay physically and spiritually strong. It also says that we should not partake of tobacco, alcohol, coffee, tea, or addictive and harmful drugs. All this is for our own benefit. If you live the Word of Wisdom your body will be in better shape, it will be healthy and you will be more receptive to the Spirit of the Lord. Show more Show less
