Hi I'm Katherine

I grew up in Colorado. I love engineering, volleyball, and camping. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering. I absolutely love playing volleyball. I also love camping, hiking, snowboarding, and mountain biking: basically anything in the mountains. My little family includes my wonderful husband and a terribly cute kitten.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised in the church, I have come to know for myself that Jesus is my Savior, the book of Mormon testifies of Him, and Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to return to Him. I have felt the comfort of the Holy Spirit of God warm my heart and touch my mind. I have received answers to my prayers. I know that God treasures all of His children and has a plan for our eternal happiness with our families.

How I live my faith

I love going to church every week to feel closer to God, learn how to improve myself, and meet wonderful people. I also love reading the scriptures and praying every day because it helps me focus on what's really important, where I'm going, and how many blessings I have.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Katherine
I think we're pretty normal. :) Of course we all have our unique personalities and interests, but in general I think we love families, working hard, caring for each other, and learning. Mormons definitely believe in equality of men and women as we are all children of God. He does not love one child more than another. We have different abilities which makes marriage so great because men and women compliment each other. Show more Show less
