Hi I'm Brooke

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah. I moved to Boston to study Math as an undergrad then moved to California to receive my masters in Financial Mathematics. I currently work as a financial analyst for the wealth management side of a bank. I love the outdoors as well as exploring new cities.

Why I am a Mormon

I was fortunate to be born into a family where both my parents were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They encouraged me to question things, read the scriptures, pray, and discover on my own what I believed to be true. I remember having a strong testimony of Christ from a very young age and my testimony of Him and this church has only grown as I've moved away from home. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. That book has changed my life. I know that God loves people today as much as people from the past. He has given us prophets to lead us in modern times. Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God that leads His church today. I'm grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Nothing has brought me more peace, hope, and joy in this life.

How I live my faith

I'm very involved in my congregation (aka ward). I volunteer as a teacher and use the scriptures in my lessons about God's plan for us, Jesus Christ, the blessings of keeping the commandments, etc. I also volunteer with another woman in my congregation to visit two specific women also in our congregation. We have discussions about our daily lives, our spirituality, and we even go support them at their volleyball games.

What is the Relief Society?

Brooke
Relief Society is the best! It is one of the largest women's organization in the world. It was first organized under the direction of the Prophet Joseph Smith in 1842. He taught that the Relief Society "is not only to relieve the poor, but to save souls." Women around the world reach out to serve in their communities and help one another build faith in Jesus Christ. The motto for Relief Society is "Charity never faileth" (1 Corinthians 13:8). I really love being apart of the Relief Society. Show more Show less
