Hi I'm Eric.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student majoring in linguistics. I also work part-time as a custodian. I like movies, hiking, watching sports, and spending time with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm kind of an analytical person (I was even president of the science club in high school), so I wouldn't be a Mormon if I didn't know that this Church was true. And I know that this Church is true because I asked God -- and he answered.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following Jesus Christ and keeping His commandments (not to be confused with "rules.") Whenever I obey God's instructions, I feel happier and freer. I pray often, study the scriptures, attend Church, and listen to and follow the leaders that God has chosen to help me.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes! Wonderful isn't it? That's the answer, but if you really want a good answer you need to go to http://speeches.byu.edu/reader/reader.php?id=8853 . This speech is so good. It talks about Joseph Smith, but if he was a prophet, naturally Thomas S. Monson is a living prophet today. It will be worth your 15 minutes. I promise. Show more Show less

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

The easiest book with which to compare the Book of Mormon is the Bible. Who wrote the Bible? The Bible was written by dozens of different men (Moses, Isaiah, Paul -- just to name a few) who were inspired of God; in other words, God told them what to write. The Book of Mormon, like the Bible, is an ancient document written over the span of thousands of years by several prophets who received revelation from God. The Book of Mormon reinforces and supports the Bible's message: that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Show more Show less
