Hi I'm Lonnie

I am a family man. I am a geologist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Bountiful, Utah in a family with seven kids one girl, the oldest, followed by six boys. I am a husband and father of two. My wife and I were blessed with each other we enjoy being married and with girl-boy twins we love our little ones. After high school and a church mission to Brazil, I studied geology in college, and I now work as a geologist in environmental consulting.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was raised in an active Mormon family, I feel that I began to fully commit to the faith during my late teens and twenties. During these years in particular, I strongly felt the influence of the Holy Ghost in strengthening my belief in God and my faith in Jesus Christ. I felt the seed of faith grow in my soul and bring joy and love more fully into my life. During a portion of those years, I served a mission in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and my mission experiences greatly contributed to my conversion to the gospel of Jesus Christ, as I saw many people receive greater fulfillment in their lives through their decisions to follow God's commandments.

How I live my faith

My faith is a central part of my life. I enjoy attending church meetings every Sunday. I appreciate the friendships with other members of the church. It helps my desire to live the principles of the gospel by knowing others who have the same beliefs. I have had opportunities to participate in a variety of roles in the church. I am currently a member of the activities committee in my ward. As a committee, we plan and organize church activities for the enjoyment of the members of the congregation.
