Hi I'm Zach Power

I'm a writer. I'm a learner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Writing, I love to teach and share truth by story, parable, allegory, and everything creative. There is inspiration in all the Lord has blessed us with. He lives and I love to serve him with all that I do. I'm in college now and working to establish my future as I go through life. I hope to establish myself enough to then help others do the same. I'm married. The other night my wife and I went to the store and bought groceries to make banana shakes. We are best friends. Life is beautiful.

Why I am a Mormon

The Book of Mormon. I will suggest reading it. It is true. What is truth? Anything that is unchanging and leads to our happiness. Prophets. They live today they speak with the Lord and they guide and lead the church. Every organization has a leader and Christ has chosen the leaders of his church in this day and age. Research the leaders of the church and you will find honorable and upright men. Simplicity. The Lord has revealed himself simply and his gospel can be lived by any person regardless of schooling or intelligence. Now I believe we should work toward that but the gospel is simple. This is why I am a Mormon, because it is truly simple.

How I live my faith

Life is a gift. I live my faith by my life. At work I love to work hard and be honest. I know that is what the Lord would have. At home I help my wife with chores around the house. I know that the Lord would have me be a husband in love. Learning, there is so much light and good things to learn, it's a good hobby and I know that learning is a major purpose of my life here. Prayer. Love. I look people deep in the eyes and each time I do this I can see that they are a child of God. This is how I live my faith.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Zach Power
Temples are sacred. Temples are Holy and the "House of the Lord." Because those who enter meet certain standards, such as honesty and integrity, there is a peaceful feeling in the temple. It is close to Heaven. It is quite and peaceful. Ordinances are performed in the temple. An ordinance is a sacred act. Baptism is a sacred act or ordinance. The bread and wine that Jesus Christ shared with the Apostles before he died was an ordinance that we continue today to remember Jesus Christ. Basically, the temple is Holy and Sacred and there we perform Sacred and Holy ordinances. I was married in the temple to my dear wife. There is no other place that would be more lovely and romantic than the House of the Lord in a Sacred and Holy manner. I thank the Lord for his Holy Temples. Show more Show less
