Hi I'm David

I grew up in Southern California and Utah but now live in Oregon. I am married and we have children who we love deeply.

About Me

I am the father if five children, married 32 years, a health care executive by profession, involved in civic organizations and local government. I enjoy reading history, boating and spending time with friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the feelings of my heart tell me I should be. I believe we have a loving Heavenly Father who desires to aid us in finding truth and goodness and I believe he has guided my paths to this church, this religious doctrine and these opportunities to serve. In short, I am a Mormon because I believe God has guided me here.

How I live my faith

I recognize the blessings I have received from the Lord. I am blessed with a loving spouse and family, a job, good health, the opportunity to associate with good and fine people. And in that recognition of blessings, I am mindful of my duty and obligation to bless the lives of others as the Lord has blessed my life. I serve in a leadership position guiding and teaching the leaders of our local congregations. Every day, I work with good men and women, who love their Heavenly Father, striving to be good spouses, parents, church members and community citizens. I also serve in a leadership position working with the young single adults of the church in our area. We teach them leadership skills and provide opportunities for them to practice and hone these skills by leading the planning and execution of large events aimed at blessing lives, strengthening faith and providing opportunities to meet and mingle with other young single adults.
