Hi I'm Dave

I'm a husband, a father, a dreamer, and an entrepreneur. I love technology, sports, and new places… and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I enjoy working & playing outdoors. I love snowboarding and skateboarding (and I wish I could surf). I enjoy building websites & tweaking my Mac. One of my most memorable experience was spending 2 years in the south of France serving as a volunteer missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Spending time with my family is my favorite activity.

Why I am a Mormon

Some people think that we are defined by the environment and circumstance in which we are raised. While this may exert influence on us, I believe that when it comes to spiritual things we choose where we stand. I was born into a family that had been members of the Church for several generations on both sides. While I was taught the gospel of Jesus Christ I was never forced to be a Mormon. I am a Mormon because I feel God's love when I pray, I see blessings in my life when I keep his commandments, and when I asked him if prophets live on earth today and if the Book of Mormon was true I felt a peaceful confirmation in my heart.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by doing the best I can. To me this means dealing honestly with others as I try to make my small business work, devoting time to playing with my kids, and being "present" at home. There is a happiness that comes when I know what I am doing is helping others. I feel this as I help a friend in need, or as I serve in the Sunday School organization at Church. There is also happiness in feeling close to God. I have found that that best way to do this is getting to know him through prayer, reading the scriptures, and trying to be like he is. When I feel this happiness, I feel like I am living my faith.
