Hi I'm Layla

I'm 24 I'm a homemaker, a wife, a Mother of 5 beautiful children and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello everyone, my name is Layla Midori, let me tell you a little about my self... Im 25 years old, married to a wonderful man who loves me very much who's name is Jorge. We have 5 kids together, one 11 year old daughter, a 4 year son named , a 1 year old son and finally our baby twins. We feel really blessed to have our beautiful children with us. I raised here in USA, but I was born in Mexico City so i'm bilingual. I love music! I play the violin since 7th grade and I would also like to learn how to play piano. I find it really fancy :) after high school I went to college and studied Office technology but after some years I decided to take a break and start a family with my husband. Now i'm a full time mom taking care of my 4 little ones (1 is already in school) but once they are ready to go to school I will also be ready to go back! but now I've decided to pursue a career in the Veterinarian field as a Vet Tech, but that's some years from now, for now i'll enjoy my little ones as they grow :)

Why I am a Mormon

I been a Mormon since 5 years ago, I came upon the church when I met my husband. He was really forward about it and firm to what he believed, since he was really proud of everything he believed I was curious of what kind of religion was this that made my (now husband) be so confident about himself in everything he did, and not be embarrassed to be different. Which you and I know that in these days some people hide their emotions about God. This wasn't the case my "boyfriend" spoke of God as is if he was his friend, as if he had some kind of close relationship with him. Now that is what made me think that I should totally get to know what was this Mormon church. My husband explained me a lot of things, He also taught me how the Bible testifies of the Book of Mormon and how the Book of Mormon testifies of the Bible. How they have living Prophets, how they do baptisms for the death, The Temples, and genealogy like in the old times. As I was taught more about this Church and when I had an idea of what kinds of things they believed it made sense to me. My husband was really patient with me, then while we were reading Moroni 10:4,5 in the Book of Mormon. He invited me to pray and asked the Lord, He had invited me before but my answer was always same that maybe later, not because I didn't wanted to but I was embarrassed to pray, its just wasn't my thing you know?. then I had an urge to know what he knew, and I envy his relationship with God (in a good way) and I also wanted that so I finally pray to God with all my heart to please let me know and to give me wisdom because I was really confused... being raised in another religion which was nothing like this. I would like to let everyone know that my answer to my questions where answered. I just feel that everything is true, my faith in God and his restored gospel its like when you know you are breathing and the oxygen is there, you don't see it but you know its there because you are still breathing.

How I live my faith

Right now i'm helping in the Primary, I love being with children and teaching them the importance of going to church and follow God, also that they have to (CTR) Choose The Right in everything they do. :) and not to be embarrassed of what people might say for doing whats right.
