Hi I'm Jeff

I was born in Mesa, Arizona. I have been a police officer in two different states. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am Arizona native, born in Mesa and raised in The Town of Gilbert. Throughout my life, I have had two real passions; music performance, and serving my community. I discovered my passion for music at an early age and began public performance at the age of eight. I have played many roles in community theatre plays and musicals, have been a member of numerous choirs and singing groups, was a member of the Arizona All-State Jazz Choir and was a 2nd place winner of the 2007 National Association of Teachers of Singing competition. I was an Eagle Scout and a high ranking member of the Gilbert Police Department’s police explorer program, before becoming a full time police officer in 1996. During my career as a police officer, I served as a patrol officer, school resource officer, DARE instructor, general instructor, field training officer, and child crimes investigator. I further served as a founding member of the Quality Management Council (two terms), the Family Support Team, and was elected to the Arizona DARE Officer’s Association Board. In early 2002, I took an early retirement from the Gilbert Police Department to focus on my growing family and pursue other interest. I returned to law enforcement after a few years and most recently worked for the Farmington Police Department; however, after careful consideration and discussion with my family, I left that arena for good. I am currently a firearms instructor, co-host of a radio talk show, real estate agent and entertainer.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, because I took Moroni's challenge and asked God if the things contained in the doctrine of the church are true. The Lord heard my prayer and He answered in the affirmative. I know that the Jesus Christ is my savior and that it is through Him that I can receive forgiveness from my sins and return to live in the presence of God after this life. I am eternally grateful to my Savior for his atoning sacrifice. I hope that I can play at least a small role in progressing his work while I am here on this earth.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith each day by being the best I can be. I do my best to be a positive example to those I have contact with throughout the day. Most importantly, I do everything within my power to teach my children the principles of the gospel through Family Home Evenings, scripture study and family prayer.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

This is one of my favorite blessing of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The answer is absolutely YES. Family can be together forever and indeed are meant to be. If we are faithful in keeping in the Lords commandments we will, through the blessing of the temple, be with our families after death. Show more Show less
