Hi I'm Linda.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been a stay at home mom for over 21 years and have loved being at home with my children. When my "baby" went to school for the whole day I began taking classes to learn American Sign Language. I enjoy reading, crocheting, playing with my family and late night snacks.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were baptized into the Mormon church when I was two years old. My parents taught me the gospel and we went to church together each week as a family. Now, I'm a mom. We teach our children the gospel and we go to church together as a family each week. Why? Because over the years I have come to know for myself that the teachings of the Mormon church are true. I spent many nights praying. I felt a strong peace and knew that these things are true. I know that the choices I make matter for more than just today. Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. The Book of Mormon is true and stands with the Bible as the word of God. There is a living prophet on the earth today, who receives guidance from the Lord, just as Moses did. Living the teachings of the Mormon Church brings me a great peace and gives direction to my life.

How I live my faith

I was recently asked to teach a class once a month to the women in our congregation. Being in front of all those women is scary but I have learned so much. Each month as I study one of the basic principles of our faith I have been reminded how important it is to follow the basic commandments God has given us. When I teach I feel the Holy Ghost as the sisters in the class share their experiences. I know Heavenly Father loves each of us and will always be there to help us. When we keep the commandments He gives us we are happy.

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

Linda.
I know there is a God. Whenever I see a beautiful sunset, smell the earth after rain or hold a new baby, I know in my heart that these things were created by God. Most importantly, I know that God knows me. I am His child. He knows who I am. He knows my joys, my pains and my dreams. When I pray to Him, He brings me peace. Many times I have prayed and those prayers have been answered in ways that only God could answer. It is a comfort to know that I am never alone. His help is only a prayer away. Show more Show less
