Hi I'm Wayne

I grew up in Bonanza/Vernal Utah. I served an LDS mission to Pusan South Korea. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have been married for almost 30 years. We have five children with two adopted children and two adopted grandchildren. We love our family so much. I like to build things and to restore old cars and trucks. I like Asian history and languages. I like to hunt, camp, and fish - when I have the time. I attended Brigham Young University and Utah State University.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of personal spiritual experiences I have had in my life. I believe in a loving, living Heavenly Father. I know He lives and that he loves me. I believe in a living, loving older brother - Jesus Christ. I feel I can and should have a personal relationship with Him. I have prayed about many doctrines and teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and feel I have received answers to my prayers letting me know that what I have studied and prayed about is true.

How I live my faith

I try to be kind to others and to make them feel important and comfortable. I love to learn about and from people. Serving in the church, neighborhood, and the community bring the greatest joy in my life. I really try to think of ways each day to something for others that would bring them some sort of happiness.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Wayne
A testimony is a spiritual witness that something is true. The Holy Ghost - the "Spirit" touches our hearts and creates emotions or sensations within our souls. These sensations or emotions lead us to recognize that Jesus Christ lives. That there is a Father in Heaven and that He is the Father of our spirits. Show more Show less
